Two things worth checking before a fan goes up
A ceiling fan is heavier than a light fixture and it moves, so it needs an electrical box rated to carry a fan rather than a standard fixture box - a lot of older ceilings do not have one, and that gets sorted before the fan goes on it rather than discovered afterwards. The second thing is blade clearance: fans want a reasonable gap to the floor and to the walls to move air properly, which on the sloped and vaulted ceilings common in newer Colorado Springs builds usually means a specific downrod length rather than whatever came in the box.

Anything that goes beyond fitting a fixture or an appliance - new circuits, panel work, rewiring, or anything that needs a permit and an inspection - is a licensed electrician's job, and we will tell you so rather than take it on.
